Club Sponsor & Lead Coach

Elicia Moody

Elicia Moody is a Dual Credit Math teacher at Tomball Star Academy. When she was hired four years ago, she found the FRC Team 7691 being run by five Seniors. She helped recruit 15 new Freshmen, and the team has continued to grow and develop into the State Qualifying team we are today!

Mrs. Moody graduated with her Mechanical Engineering degree from MIT in 2001 and her Masters in Mathematics from TAMU in 2006. After many years of Subsea Engineering for oil and gas, she finally landed in full-time teaching in 2017, and is very excited to get to follow both of her passions at Tomball Star with the TSA All Stars!

Lead Mentor & Asst. Coach

Stephanie Zoutenbier

Stephanie Zoutenbier is the Lead Mentor, Engineering Mentor and Assistant Coach to the TSA All Stars!

She met Team 7691 in the Summer of 2022 at Tomball Night and, as a FIRST Robotics Alumni (Go 1062- Storm Troopers!), she knew she'd love to mentor and have fun again!

With a Bachelors in Meteorology (Eng. Emphasis), a minor in Technical, Professional and Scientific Communications, and an Executive MBA, she started her career at NASA doing Meteorology, but "pivoted for adventure" to be the first female for Baker Hughes to work on land oil rigs.

Many roles within Baker Hughes, and over 13 years later, she is currently enjoying roles that allow her to travel and balance robotics with her career. :) â€‹

Design Team

Design Team

Blueprints

The Design Team transforms ideas into reality, creating 3D models, blueprints, and prototypes for our robots. Using CAD software and engineering principles, while collaborating with our Build Team they ensure every design is optimized for performance, durability, and competition success.

Build Team

Foundations

The Build Team is the hands-on crew that brings our robot designs to life. Working closely with the Design Team, they construct, assemble, and refine the robot using engineering skills, power tools, and precision to ensure it's competition-ready. They also collaborate with the Coding Team to integrate hardware with software and the Business Team to showcase the robot for sponsorships and outreach.

Build Team

Coding Team

Innovations

The Innovative Coding Team is the brain behind our robots, developing the software that brings them to life. Using programming languages and problem-solving skills, they write, test, and refine the code that controls robot movement, automation, and strategy for competition. They work closely with the Build and Design Teams to ensure seamless integration between hardware and software, making our robots smarter and more efficient.

Safety Team

Lifelines

The Safety Team is dedicated to ensuring a secure and organized environment for all team members. They enforce safety protocols, oversee proper use of tools and equipment, and conduct regular safety checks to prevent accidents. By working closely with the Build and Design Teams, they ensure that both the robot and the workspace meet the highest safety standards. Their goal is to keep the team focused, protected, and competition-ready.

Parent Volunteer Team

Lifelines

Our program thrives with the support of dedicated parent volunteers! Whether assisting at events, helping with logistics, or providing meals for our team, their involvement makes a massive contribution to the success of our team.
